After Jay Bruce burned the Phillies with a game-tying two-run home run, a Cliff Lee win was looking out of the question.
Good thing nobody told Cliff Lee.
With the game tied in the sixth inning, Lee delivered a two-run go-ahead RBI double in an eventual 10-4 victory.
Lee went two-for-four with three RBIs on the afternoon. He delivered an RBI single in the seventh inning.
Raul Ibanez also continued to swing a hot bat as he went two-for-five with a three-run home run off Reds starter Homer Bailey in the third inning.
Domonic Brown added two hits and is looking more comfortable in the big leagues.
Lee was tremendous at the plate and on the mound. He pitched eight innings giving up four runs on ten hits while striking out eight batters.
Chase Utley also hit his first home run of the season and hopefully is finding his groove since coming off the disabled list.
In his first appearance since being activated off the disabled list, Jose Contreras pitched a scoreless ninth inning. He did allow a hit.
The Phillies will now travel to New York for a weekend series with the Mets.
