WASHINGTON — In last three games against the Washington Nationals, the Phillies have scored only seven runs.
All seven of those runs came from prospect Darin Ruf.
Ruf hit a pair of solo home runs in the Phillies 4-2 loss to Washington. It was Ruf’s first career multi-home run game.
In the 4th inning, the Phillies jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Ruf’s solo shot. They then surrendered runs in 4th and 6th inning to trail 3-1.
Ruf pulled the Phillies to within one run in the 8th with his second solo homer of the game.
