MIAMI — Phillies starting Tyler Cloyd’s season is done.
The 25-year-old right-hander has a tired arm, pitching coach Rich Dubee said, and he will not make his scheduled start on Tuesday in Washington.
Cloyd made 32 starts in AA, AAA and the Majors combined, throwing 200 innings. In six starts with the Phillies Cloyd was 2-2 with a 4.91 ERA.
Dubee quipped, “Maybe it’ll be a position player,” regarding a starter for Tuesday.
