The Phillies have acquired RHP Ryan O’Sullivan from Dodgers as the player to be named later in the Joe Blanton trade from last week.
O’Sullivan, 21, was a 4th round pick in 2011 and is in the Single-A. He will likely head to Clearwater.
In 29 games with the Great Lakes Loons and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes of Single-A, O’Sullivan has an 8-6 record and 3.05 ERA. He made nine starts in his 29 games, making the switch to the bullpen where the Phillies will possibly keep him.
