The Phillies offense put up eight runs on the Mets without the bat of Carlos Ruiz in the lineup.
Ruiz, who has been Philadelphia’s hottest hitter so far this season was scratched from the lineup with tightness in his right hamstring prior to this afternoon’s game. Brian Schneider got the start, hitting eighth, and everyone behind Ruiz’s four-spot moved up in the order.
Ruiz tweaked the hamstring in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals. The Phillies don’t believe the injury is serious and the catCher will be listed as day-to-day.
Glad to see that Carlos is listed as day to day. He is a great former BlueClaw and really contributes to the Phillies Lineup. He is just so Clawtastic!
