According to Phillies beat writer Matt Gelb, Cole Hamels has been suspended five games for admitting to plunking Bryce Harper during Sunday night’s game 9-3 win.
Hamels will begin serving the suspension tonight which means he won’t miss any starts.
It is unknown when Hamels will make his next start. It could be Sunday with Roy Halladay starting tonight and Saturday.
