Something was off about Roy Halladay last night.
The right-hander allowed eight runs in 5 1/3 innings pitched last night in the Phillies 15-13 extra-innings thriller against the Braves.
Maybe there was something on his mind other than the fact he couldn’t locate his pitches.
Jim Salisbury reported that Halladay left the team and is handling a personal family issue. After talking to reporters, Salisbury said Halladay left with a small suitcase.
Halladay will not be with the team this afternoon when they play the Braves. He will likely join the team in Washington this weekend.
