Cliff Lee was just placed on the disabled list. Left oblique srain.

The Phillies were hit with a bit of a surprise today.
Starting left-hander Cliff Lee was put on the 15-day DL by the Phillies with a strained left oblique. This came only days after the left-hander threw 102 pitchers in 10 shut out innings.
The Phillies recalled left-handed reliever Joe Savery from AAA Lehigh. Kyle Kendrick will start on Monday in place of Lee.
General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. says he doesn’t think the injury was related to the fact that Lee pitched in the 10th inning even though Lee said that’s when he hurt his arm.
Though Lee will be placed on the 15-day DL, Amaro doesn’t know if he will miss more than a couple starts.
“I hope not,” Ruben Amaro Jr. said. “But again, obliques you just don’t know how long they’re going to take. He’s shown improvement. We’re hopeful that he’s only going to miss a couple of starts. We have an off day in between. If we can slide him in on the 15th or 16th day, that would be great.
