Domonic Brown hasn’t played since injuring his thumb on Monday. Brown will continue to sit out the next couple games with a jammed thumb, Phillies said.
“Everything’s fine,” Brown said. “I’m just playing it safe.”
Brown jammed his thumb diving for a ball against the Yankees this past Monday and hasn’t played since.
Fortunately for Brown, the thumb injury isn’t as bad as the broken hamate bone that ended his spring on March 5 last year. Brown said he expects to be out “a couple more days.”
Brown is 2-for-8 this spring with a triple in three starts during the Grapefruit League.
