Hamels has two minor surgeries

According to Todd Zolecki, Cole Hamels had a pair of surgeries today.

Hamels had loose bodies removed from left elbow as well as surgery to repair a hernia. Both surgeries were minors – the loose bodies being a routine procedure and common among starting pitchers.

Hamels should begin throwing again in 3-to-4 weeks.
