Pregame notes 4/22

*Cole Hamels dominates against Padres, this is a known fact. In nine career starts, Hamels is 4-2 with a 2.75 ERA. Better yet, in four career starts at Petco, Hamels is 2-1 with a 1.75 ERA.

*The Phillies pitching has been on a role as of late, shutting out teams four times in their 18 games to start the season.

*Dom Brown is back in live action, getting time in the Phillies extended Spring Training squad in Clearwater, FL. In three at-bats yesterday, the left-handed prospect tallied a pair of hits.

On his hand (courtesy of Phoul Ballz): “Great, better than I thought it would. My first at bat (Monday) I hit an inside pitch up near the handle and I felt a little twinge but it was nothing more than the normal feeling of taking one off the handle. It feels really good.”
