Brad Lidge certainly hasn’t been the same since his perfect season in 2008.
Today it was revealed that Lidge has tendinitis in his right bicep. However pitching coach Rich Dubee wasn’t overly concerned.
The team isn’t sure when Lidge will be scheduled to pitch again. They have said that they still expect the Phillies’ closer to be ready by Opening Day.
He has already made five appearances in Grapefruit League play so he has had opportunities to throw in live game action. Lidge has a 9.00 ERA in those appearances.
Dubee added that Lidge’s arm isn’t as strong as it should be right now so he will take a few days off to rest.
