Player to Watch – Martin Prado: The all star is replacing the injured Chase Utley on the roster and will start. He’s enjoyed a great season in which Braves fans were anticipating. He’s one of the best young players on the uprise and has shown it this year with his performance. He’s leading the NL in batting with a .335 average while hitting seven homers and driving in 36 runs. His fielding is also exceptional as is a lot of middle infielders in today’s game. Speed, a sure glove, and a great arm are all assets that make a player like Prado coveted. It also doesn’t hurt that he can do damage at the plate.

Series Overview: The Braves are five games in front of the Phillies as the break winds down. What more do I need to say. The Phillies can wake up and sweep the Braves to be two games back or they can stumble and lose more ground heading into the break.
