Hot (last 7) – Raul Ibanez: .333 (9-for-27), 2 R, 2B, HR, 5 RBI.
Not (last 7) – Chase Utley: .167 (4-for-24), 3 K

Player to Watch – Robinson Cano: Cano has been an absolute monster this season thus far. He’s leading the league with a .371 batting average while hitting 13 homers and driving in 47 RBIs. The second baseman, who’s a career .312 hitter, is on pace to have a career season, shattering his career high in batting average and on pace to surpass his run, homer, and RBI totals. He’s also been on a seven-game hitting streak.

Series Overview: This is a rematch of the World Series in which New York won in six games. The Phillies will hopefully be motivated playing in New York, where they saw the Yankees celebrate their 27th championship… Last season, the two teams met for the first time in years as the Phillies won that series 2-1… New York is in the middle of a series battle with the Tampa Bay Rays for the division mid-way through the season while the Phillies are 3.5 games back in their division, hoping to get back into the mix… With their three pitchers going, New York seems to have the advantage this series on the hill but the Phillies have Roy Halladay going against C.C. Sabathia on Tuesday, possibly the pitching match-up of the season so far.
