Hot (7 games) – Jayson Werth: .360 (9-for-25), 6 runs, 4 doubles, 4 HRs, 9 RBIs
Not (5 games) – Wilson Valdez: .133 (2-for-15), 3 Ks.

Player to Watch: Ian Stewart – Sure Dustin Fowler, Troy Tulowitzki, and Todd Helton are good choices and dangerous players to watch but Stewart is the hottest bat coming into the series. He leads the team with six homers, second with 17 RBIs, and has a very respectable .292 average. I will also have my eyes on him seeing that he’s on my fantasy baseball team.

Series Overview: The Phillies are getting lucky once again as they do not have to face Ubaldo Jimenez, the young phenom for Colorado… The Rockies have hit a bit of an inconsistent patch… Brad Hawpe, one of their more dangerous hitters, is on the DL… All three of the Rockies’ starters have an ERA higher than 6.00… The Phillies are winners of five of their last six games. Their starting pitching has picked up and the offense is hitting the long ball again. Look for that to continue in the thin air of Colorado… Phillies should easily take this series.
