Not (last six): Shane Victorino – .185 (5-for-27), 4 K, .241 OBP
Player to watch: Josh Willingham. He is the only Nationals player truly this season so far. He’s coming off a monster series agains the Mets in which he went 4-for9 with five RBI’s and a grand slam (the latter two came on Sunday). He played solid in the first series against the Phillies and will hope for similar success.
Series outlook: The Phillies offense has been rolling so far this season and are hoping to greet the home crowd with some fireworks and the ringing of the home run bell. After a series win for the Nationals, they will look to challenge the Phillies again. There are rumors that Stephen Strasburg will make a debut soon and the Nats are undecided for Thursday. But besides the phenom in the farm, the Nats have some decent young talent in the bigs and will look to show-up the reigning NL champs.
Phillies take two from Washington.
