Drabek and Hamels Dueled

Kyle Drabek pitched against his former team today for the first time since being traded for Roy Halladay. In his outing, he went two innings, allowing a hit and a walk. On the hill for the Phillies was Cole Hamels, who pitched 3.2 innings, allowing a run one hit, a solo homer in the fourth. He also walked two batters and struck out three in the Phillies 4-2 win over Toronto. Juan Ramirez, who was the third pitchers in the Cliff Lee trade, pitched three scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out three.

Cody Ransom hit a solo homer in the ninth inning. Placido Polanco went 2-2 with a pair of walks, Greg Dobbs and John Mayberry hit a pair of doubles each, and Wilson Valdez had three hits.
