PRC: Tyler Walker

Player: Tyler Walker
Number: 52
Position: RP
Bats/Throws: R/R

Consistency: Walker was a late addition to the bull pen. He was signed in early April and joined the team in June and stayed there for the remainder of the season. Walker had a weird year. In his 32 appearances, he only allowed a run in seven outings but five of them he allowed two runs. July and September were the only two months he struggled. He did not make the playoff roster.

Regular Season Stats: 2-1, 32 games, 35.1 IP, 31 H, 12 R, 12 ER, 4 HR, 9 BB, 27 K, 3.06 ERA, 1.13 WHIP

Post Season Stats: none

Health: He was never hurt.

Intangibles: He only had five bad outings and was reliable. Though he didn’t have any fascinating stuff or a pitch that defined him, he was focused and effective. He falls in the category of good, solid pitching.

Overall Grade: B. He was solid. He didn’t do anything to impress me but he didn’t do anything to show signs of disgust. The two bad months did prevent him from getting a B+. You really couldn’t be disappointed in his effort. Though I doubt he will be back next year, I would like to see him considered.
