“I’ll always consider myself a Phillie”
And so will the rest of us. Chris Coste signed a deal with the Mets that guaranteed him a spot on the 40-man roster but didn’t guarantee him a spot on the Opening Day roster. In Philly he batted .282 with 23 homers and 98 RBI’s in his 4 years on the team. You can view his career stats here. He was sent to waivers last July and picked up by the Houston Astros who released him this off season.
Coste will always be a true Phillie. He worked his butt off to make it to the majors at the age of 33 and has been able to stay there. I wish him luck in New York. I mean you have to make a living somewhere.
