PHILADELPHIA — As posted earlier, injury and suspension news started off what was looking to be another bleak day in an already awful season for the Phillies.

But the team put all of that stuff behind them as well as a three-game losing streak to beat the Rockies, 7-2, Tuesday night.

The bats backed Cole Hamels, who allowed less than four runs for the first time since May 23. He went eight innings, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven.
