QUEENS, NY — Things were starting to get a little worrisome for the Phillies after dropping three games in Houston.
But they snapped out of it, and continued on their way to a historical comeback in the standings with an important 3-1 win over the Mets. The win brought the Phillies to 3.5 games back with the Cardinals having the day off.
Cliff Lee was dominant again, continuing back on his path to the dominant Lee of 2011. He went eight innings, allowing only a run on seven hits and a walk, striking out 10.
