PHILADELPHIA — The month of September has been kind to Jimmy Rollins, and in turn, it’s been kind to the Phillies.

The Fightins kept on fighting, battling against a seemingly unhittable Josh Johnson. They overcame an error-filled 6th inning, winning 3-1 Wednesday evening for their seventh straight win and second sweep in a row.

The hero was Rollins, who made an almost costly error earlier in the game that set up Miam’s only run. But he erased that error with a pair of hits, including a two-run homer in the 8th inning to lead the Phillies to another win and 3.5 games out of the Wild Card.

Cliff Lee was keeping pace with Johnson, who took a no-hitter into the 6th inning. But he ran into a bit of trouble in the 6th.

With one out, Donovan Solano hit a ball to Rollins, but the short stop misplayed it and Solano was safe. Jose Reyes followed up with a grounder to Lee, but a throwing error by the left-hander put two runners on with one out.

After getting Giancarlo Stanton to fly out for the second out, Carlos Lee hit an RBI single to give Miami a 1-0 lead.

Rollins, who made the error in the top half, led off the bottom of the 6th with the Phillies first hit, a grounder that got past a diving Carlos Lee. Rollins then scored on John Mayberry’s RBI single four batters later after moving to second on a bunt to tie the game up.

In the bottom of the 8th, Rollins hit a two-run homer off Johnson with no outs, giving Philadelphia the 3-1 lead and chasing the right-hander from the game.

As Rollins goes, the Phillies go, and Rollins has been hot in the month of September as well as the Phils. In 11 games, Rollins is hitting .326 (15-for-46) with two doubles, four homers, nine RBIs and eight runs scored.

HR: Rollins (19).

MIAMI — In the 12th battle between two perfect game pitchers, it was Mark Buehrle who prevailed over Roy Halladay.

Pitching in the same city that he threw his perfect game over two years ago, Halladay was bested by Buehrle, who had a little bit of help from Greg Dobbs. Dobbs drove in two runs, including the go ahead homer in the 6th that gave the Marlins a 8-2 victory to prevent the sweep.

After three innings of dealing, Halladay was the first to give in.
